Very spotty on what you will get from order to order. With my most recent pizza order there was next to no sauce, which is a shame as it adds tremendous flavor.
On previous orders the calamari has been very chewy and disappointing to say the least.

I have ordered from Viva Italiano numerous times.
This time was the final straw.
Of the 8 or so times I've ordered from them 3 orders were received cold.
This time, the order was not only cold, but took nearly 2 hours to be delivered.
On top of that, when I called to report that I refused the cold food the manager was rude and only slightly apologetic using the Super Bowl as an excuse.

I have been ordering take out from Viva at least twice a month since we moved to San Bruno. One of my favorite places food always arrives on time and hot.

Wrong food was sent - this was an error in their menu online (and in the paper version) but when I called about the error they said they would send a correction, no food showed up! They also did not honor a coupon!

Pizza was overdone and the kid's said the crust was like eating cardboard. Wife ordered Chicken Philly sandwich and got Beef instead. I had Chicken Cacciatore and was not very impressed. Lot's of olives and peppers; however, instead of a white wine sauce it was smothered in a marinara sauce that tasted like it came out of a jar. Will not reorder.

I've never had a bad experience with viva italiano ever in all my years of eating there. Their food is delicious!!!

There was a thick long black strand of hair in my pizza and the restaurant refused to deliver a replacement one to me. They offered a mere $5 credit which is one fifth of what I paid for the pizza. I am totally surprised by their terrible service to customers.
